Community Warriors -- The Women of Margaret Cres

Working hard to protect a community forest from development, the women of Margaret Cres organized the neighbourhood, exhaustively knocked on doors for petition signatures, and bravely presented their case to a televised Town Hall.

I created these three arrangements to thank these women for their tireless efforts to save one of our precious and dwindling town forests. It seems the floodgates have opened and each plot of land has now become vulnerable to out of area developers.

It is easy to feel the passion and dedication of these women who fight with everything to protect their forest and its habit. Mothers of grown children but Mamma Bear instincts stronger than ever.

These bouquets were meant to say thank you but also we celebrate and support them and their efforts.
